Someone once told me I was a Wisdom Keeper. When I asked what that meant, they simply said I would understand in time. That was a LONG time ago and I’ve finally come to realize what it means. I like to learn new things and about people and places. But it’s more than that. I like to share this information with others … pass it on, if you will, so that it’s not lost. And it seems like I’m interested in EVERYTHING and always want to know more. So, my journey has been taking place all my life. I am an avid reader of metaphysical non-fiction and thoroughly enjoy all the things we can now learn online through a variety of excellent resources (and the list grows daily). I have found some fantastic mentors and coaches along the way who have been a wealth of information about connecting with the sacred or divine.
I remember spending the night with my grandma as a little girl. Every night, we said a prayer asking my Guardian Angel to watch over me. Grandma left the earth plane when I was about 8 years old and the rest of my family never really talked about angels.
Over the next 40 or so years, I occasionally felt the presence/comfort of something from the spirit realm, but never really thought much about it. And my bedtime prayer with my grandma had been pretty much forgotten. But things have a way of coming back to you at “just the right time”.
I was over 50, recently divorced, and I had just been laid off from my job. There were other things going on with my kids, but we’ll not get into that. It was a pretty dark and dismal time for me as the job market where I live was almost non-existent even for someone with 25+ years of office management experience. I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it on my little bit of unemployment every week.
I was at the “exit” doors of WalMart waiting for a pouring rain to let up enough for me to make it to the car without getting soaked. There were a couple of others waiting for the same reason. One of them was a very tall, attractive blonde lady with beautiful blue eyes and a cart full of groceries. We made a tiny bit of small talk about the rain and continued to wait in silence. The rain let up just a bit and she decided to “run for it”. As she was getting ready to leave the store, she looked at me, smiled, and said “You know God loves you a great deal.” I was completely caught off guard but managed to stammer a “Thank you” as I watched her leave. Less than 30 seconds later, I walked out the door as well. I wanted to find her and tell her that her words had meant a great deal to me. But she was nowhere to be found. Remember, I said this was a TALL lady with a FULL cart of groceries. There was no way she could have gotten to her car, loaded it with the groceries, and be gone. I looked all over but she had literally “disappeared”. It took me a minute or two, but I suddenly realized that she was an angel.
Her comforting words didn’t change my situation, but changed my perception and I became more optimistic about things. Shortly after this incident, I was having trouble sleeping and started to recall the prayer my grandma had taught me. Maybe you know it:
To whom God’s love, commits me here
Ever this night, be at my side
To light, to guard, to rule, and guide.
I started to say it every night. And if I woke up in the middle of the night, I’d say it again. This went on for a couple of years and I felt more of an angelic presence in my life and it was peaceful, calm, reassuring.
I’d heard of Doreen Virtue, but wasn’t interested in angels “that way” so I never really read any of her books. Every once in a while, one of her posts would pop up on my Facebook feed. When one of them talked about studying fairies, I thought it would be fun as my granddaughter (who was 5 at the time) loves fairies and we had fairy gardens and fairy lanterns and fairy costumes and more (she and her mom live with me). I signed up for the class and became active on the Facebook group.
Quite a few folks were offering to do card readings. I’d played with cards on and off for about 30 years for myself, but never for anyone else. I thought I’d give it a go. I loved it and discovered I was really good at it. I picked up a couple of Angel decks and found some Angel Facebook groups. It was only “then” that I started reading Doreen’s books. To say a light went on is an understatement! Soooooo many things now made sense. That’s when I knew more people just had to know about Angels and decided to change my focus to Angel readings and classes.
There’s a lot more, but I’ll save it for the blog. You can head over here to schedule an Angel Card Reading or a Health Reading. I’m in the process of putting together a couple of classes and hope to have the first one ready in early 2017.
You can join my mailing list here and be kept up-to-date on everything. When you join my mailing list, you’ll also receive a free Archangel Chart that’s kind of like a cheat sheet about the Archangels.
Oh, and once a month I give a free reading to one of the members of my email list. So if that sounds good to you, let’s make it official and get you signed up.
